It is almost August and there are so many worthwhile ways to spend my time that I often end up in a quandary. What is most important item to take on and how overwhelming it can feel. Thanks to a good friend and coach, Alan Roby, who reminded me of a famous quote by Goethe:
“Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!”
I have learned the truth of this many times but forget that the journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. When a task feels so overwhelming just do one small part to begin:
Spring is approaching slowly and watching the transition of the seasons always amazes me. The crocus is the most courageous of flowers. The purple blossoms against the snowfall remind me that thought nature is unpredictable and inconsistent that our essential nature is not only to survive transitions but to transform and thrive.
Where is your greatest challenge? When circumstances feel overwhelming and unexpected, how do you bring forth your greatest successes and triumphs? How do difficulties showcase your true colors by contrast?
January 10, 2013
This is a big day of firsts for me! I just set the wheels in motion to open my new website so it is now public for the first time and I have this new blog.
Celebrate with me on this momentous day in honor of all the new beginnings in your life as well and let us journey together to bring more light, learning and joy to our own lives and, in so doing, the lives of others around the world.
It has taken much longer than I anticipated to get up and running but the months of breathing in learning, knowledge and wisdom from many sources will be the gifts I am able to share with you.
